On Wednesday, Nathaniel returned from nursery to find a giant box in the back garden.
Wondering what it was, he decided to explore the box and give it a big hug.
Although he didn't know it at the time, the box contained a Quinny Moodd, which had arrived that afternoon during the time Daddy had been told, and Nathaniel was about to embark upon a great adventure: putting the Quinny Mood together.
With Daddy's help, the top of the box was removed with remarkable ease, and Nathaniel gazed in awe at the boxes contents... and wondered along with Daddy what we should start with first.
Thankfully Mummy was there with the instructions.
We started with the basic frame, and quickly put the back wheels on.
And then unfolded the frame.
With Nathaniel's help, the Quinny Mood was put together remarkably quickly, with the instructions being, on the whole, easy to follow.
And Nathaniel couldn't wait to try climbing into the seat...
And was happy as Larry to sit in his new pram.
The only problem we found was with the safety T-Bar: it took us quite a while (and with the assistance of a pen lid) to loop the elastic over the catch, as the elastic was so tight. And once done, we found it impossible to pull the Safety T-Bar out for ease of placing Nathaniel in his new pram-- at the moment we're considering cutting the elastic with a knife, but are loathe to do so at the moment.
Alas, the only tears of the night was when a sleepy Nathaniel was told that he had to leave his new Quinny Moodd...
But after a bath and putting on his pajamas, another benefit of the Quinny Moodd was found: boxes were fun!
And great to climb into...
Lie down in...
and go to sleep in.
So, to answer the question "What lies within the box?" The answer is a Quinny Moodd and loads and loads of fun.
We did a test drive of the Quinny Moodd the next day, with a far more awake and less teary Nathaniel, and found it light and very easy to handle. The turning circle was surprisingly small, it felt stable and very secure, and for a tall man like Nathaniel's Daddy, there was plenty of foot room (with far too many prams there isn't enough room to walk with the pram without hitting your feet upon the wheel axle). If there is one complaint, it is that the back wheel width is rather wide, and on occasion means that it's a tight squeeze through doors.
But other than that, the Quinny Moodd is great, and Nathaniel loves it. What more could be asked for?
